Athletic failed to register a single shot on target all game, extending their winless run at Camp Nou to 16 matches.
Away at Sevilla, Atlético Madrid thrashed their hosts 3-1, courtesy of an Álex Baena brace (4', 33') and a goal from Ademola Lookman (26'), before Miguel Sierra pulled one back for Sevilla off a Gabriel Suazo cross (66'). Julián Álvarez wasn't even named among the Atlético squad.
In a wild seven-goal thriller, Levante beat Real Betis 5-2: E. Bardeli opened the scoring (45+1'), before R. Riquelme levelled immediately for Betis (45+4'), then Brugué struck twice in the second half (70' and 73'), before J. Olasagasti sealed Levante's win deep into stoppage time (90+4').
