History of the Morocco national team
Founding and Early Years
The Morocco national team, nicknamed "the Atlas Lions," is governed by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), founded in 1955. Long regarded as a rising force in African football, it took decades to fully confirm its potential on the world stage.

At the 2026 World Cup, the Atlas Lions shone again, unbeaten in the group stage, before falling to France (0-2) in the quarter-final.
