Kawhi Leonard returns to the Toronto Raptors in blockbuster trade
The star who won the title with the Raptors in 2019 returns to the franchise from the LA Clippers.
The Los Angeles Clippers have agreed to trade Kawhi Leonard to the Toronto Raptors, the franchise he won an NBA title with in 2019, in exchange for Brandon Ingram and Gradey Dick, plus two unprotected first-round picks (2031 and 2033), a 2027 pick swap and two second-round picks.
According to sources close to the deal, Leonard, 34, had expressed a desire to finish his career in Toronto, and is eligible to sign a two-year, $123.7 million extension there, following a career-best season with the Clippers (27.9 points per game).
