LaMelo Ball traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves to pair with Anthony Edwards
The Charlotte Hornets part ways with their star guard in a four-team deal for Naz Reid and picks.

The Charlotte Hornets have sent star guard LaMelo Ball, along with Josh Green, to the Minnesota Timberwolves, in a four-team deal that also involved the Chicago Bulls and Brooklyn Nets, in exchange for Naz Reid, an unprotected 2033 first-round pick, three second-round picks and additional pick swaps.
Minnesota's aim with the trade, finalised on 10 July, is to build a potent backcourt pairing Ball with Anthony Edwards in a bid to contend for the title, after Ball closed out last season averaging 20.1 points and 7.1 assists per game.
