Europe's top scorer Raphinha opens the door to a Barcelona extension
In comments to Spanish radio station RAC1, Barcelona star Raphinha confirmed his desire to extend his contract with the Catalan club, currently running until 2028, expressing his ambition to finish his professional career at Barca.

Brazilian Raphinha, the Barcelona star, confirmed in comments to Spanish radio station RAC1 his desire to extend his contract with the Catalan club and finish his professional career at Barca.
"I renewed my contract until 2028, and at the time I was thinking I'd be 30 or 31 then, and I didn't know how I'd get to that stage."
"I have the ability to continue for several more years. So yes, I'd be happy to extend my contract a bit and end my career here."
An exceptional season strengthens his case
Raphinha's comments come amid an exceptional season at Barcelona, having scored 11 goals in just 7 matches across all competitions, putting him top of the scoring charts among all active players in Europe, after being recently redeployed as an out-and-out striker rather than a winger.
Backing from Deco
Club sporting director Deco, who was Raphinha's agent during his move from Leeds United in 2022, has already expressed the club's desire to extend the player's contract, while some reports point to ongoing discussions over the financial terms of the new deal, amid a busy transfer window following several other Barcelona storylines.
