Wydad AC wrapped up their pre-season preparations for the new campaign with a friendly against Moghreb Tetouan at the "Wellness" complex in Bouskoura, following the Red side's return from their training camp in Agadir.

A late penalty winner

Wydad won the match 1-0 after the referee awarded a penalty that was converted by Nassim Chadli, who scored the winning goal in the closing stages.

Testing fitness before the season begins

Coach Paulo Sergio's aim with the friendly was to gauge his players' technical and physical readiness before the new Botola Pro season kicks off, following a string of preparation matches that also included a friendly draw against DHJ (Difaa Hassani El Jadidi).

Wydad have now wrapped up their preparation programme with at least two friendlies, following the draw against DHJ and the win over Moghreb Tetouan, before turning their full attention to the opening match of the new Botola Pro season.
