Al Ahly Boosted by Returning Trio Before Zamalek Summit.. Two Absences Complicate the Picture
The return of Yasser Ibrahim, Koka and Taher Mohamed Taher strengthens Al Ahly ahead of the Zamalek summit, while the absence of El-Shenawy and Amr El-Gazzar poses defensive challenges for Ammouta.

Al Ahly's coaching staff, led by Hussein Ammouta, received an important morale boost days before the Egyptian Premier League summit clash against Zamalek — even as the absence of two key players complicates some tactical calculations.
A returning trio strengthens the squad
The team is set to welcome back defender Yasser Ibrahim, who has recovered from an ankle injury involving torn internal and external ligaments, alongside Ahmed Nabil Koka, recovering from a grade-two strain in his left hamstring, and Taher Mohamed Taher, recuperating from an elbow ligament injury accompanied by severe bruising. All three are expected to be available for the October 11 clash at Cairo International Stadium.
Key absences complicate the picture
On the other hand, Ammouta must deal with the absence of goalkeeper Mohamed El-Shenawy, sidelined with a grade-two adductor strain, as well as a longer-term absence for Amr El-Gazzar, who suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament and knee cartilage damage — two absences that pose real defensive challenges ahead of a fixture of this magnitude.
When they meet
The two sides face off in the Round 11 summit clash of the Egyptian Premier League on Sunday, October 11 at Cairo International Stadium, a match carrying major significance in the race for top spot.
