Soufiane Benjdida finished the 2025-26 Botola Pro season as top scorer with 20 goals for Maghreb de Fès, well clear of runner-up Baba Bello Ilou (Hassania Agadir, 16 goals) — the second-best individual tally in the history of the Moroccan league, behind Mohamed Boussati's all-time record of 25 goals in 1981-82.
His scoring form was central to Maghreb de Fès's title triumph, their first championship since 1985, ending a 41-year wait, with Raja Casablanca and Renaissance de Berkane completing the podium.
