Ajax Amsterdam are looking to sign Moroccan midfielder Azzedine Ounahi from Girona, according to specialist transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Ounahi has a release clause worth €25 million in his Girona contract, though Ajax hope to complete the deal for a lower fee through direct negotiations between the two clubs.
Ajax's interest is largely driven by new head coach Michel, who previously managed Ounahi at Girona and has identified the Moroccan international as one of his priority targets for the current summer transfer window.
