Marc Cucurella leaves Chelsea to join Real Madrid for €55m

Real Madrid have officially confirmed the signing of Spanish left-back Marc Cucurella from Chelsea for €55m, on a deal running until the summer of 2032.

Who is Cucurella?

Coming through Barcelona B and Getafe before breaking out at Brighton, Cucurella went on to join Chelsea. The Spain international is known for his attacking output down the left flank, a quality that convinced Real Madrid to sign him to strengthen that position.

Part of a busy window

The move is part of a busy summer window for Real Madrid, who have also brought in Denzel Dumfries, Ibrahima Konaté, Bernardo Silva and Carlos Espi as they overhaul the squad ahead of the new season.
