Belgium beat the United States 4-1 in the World Cup 2026 round of 16 at Lumen Field in front of 66,925 fans.

Charles De Ketelaere scored a brace (8', 33'), either side of Malik Tillman's deflected free-kick equalizer for the USA (31').

A mistake by goalkeeper Matt Freese let Hans Vanaken make it 3-1 in the second half (57').

Christian Pulisic went off injured (52') and Romelu Lukaku sealed the win late on (90'+3).

Unbeaten in 18 matches, Belgium will face Spain in the quarter-final.
