"Only One Rooster in the Henhouse": Laporta Renews Mbappé Jibe
Days before the Clásico, Barcelona president Joan Laporta says there is no longer any relationship with Real Madrid, accuses them of spending huge sums to mask failure and renews his jibe at Kylian Mbappé.

Days before Sunday's Clásico at Camp Nou on October 25, Barcelona president Joan Laporta has escalated his war of words with Real Madrid, declaring that relations between the two clubs are over.
"There Is No Relationship Anymore"
"There is no longer any relationship of any kind. I can even say that we are now face to face," Laporta said, adding that Real Madrid "has lost its credibility, both institutionally and in sporting terms."
Accused of Spending to Hide Failure
The Barça president took aim at Madrid's transfer policy: "They have spent colossal sums to sign many players at very high prices," claiming the club is trying to justify its choices "by any means." He also addressed the Negreira case, accusing Madrid of using it as a distraction: "They want to divert attention, but there is nothing there. They no longer have any presence in the institutions."
By contrast, Laporta praised Barcelona's model built on top talent from La Masia: "We win, and we compete for every title."
Another Jibe at Mbappé
Laporta also revived his remark about Kylian Mbappé's move to the Bernabéu: "You can't have more than one rooster in the same henhouse — it never works. In football, the priority is the collective and team spirit. If that's missing, the project won't work."
A Red-Hot Clásico
The comments come ahead of a blockbuster La Liga clash, with Barcelona top of the table on a perfect 27 points from nine games, while Real Madrid sit third on 21 points after a 4-1 win over Sevilla in which Mbappé scored twice.
