A tempting Saudi offer for Amrabat... time to leave Europe?

Saudi club Al-Ittihad are preparing to submit an official offer to sign Moroccan midfielder Sofyan Amrabat from Real Betis.

Al-Ittihad hope to benefit from Amrabat's experience in midfield, after he established himself as one of the top defensive midfielders in Africa and the Arab world with the Moroccan national team during recent international fixtures.

Neither Real Betis nor Al-Ittihad have officially disclosed the transfer fee or the length of the proposed contract, with more details expected to emerge in the coming days of the summer transfer window.

The interest is in line with Saudi clubs' ongoing strategy of recruiting European stars to boost the competitiveness of the Saudi Pro League.
