"When the result isn't in your favor, you look for excuses. We played a great match, executed the plan we had prepared to the letter, and fully deserved our qualification. There's no need to talk about luck or circumstances."
Mikel Oyarzabal and Pedro Porro scored Spain's two goals in the match played at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, sending La Roja through to the tournament final.
De la Fuente's response comes amid weeks of tension between the two camps, starting with Lamine Yamal's controversial pre-match comments, followed by the French players' response, and now this exchange between the two coaches after the final whistle.
