History of Leeds United
Founding and Early Years
Leeds United Football Club was founded on 17 October 1919, on the ashes of Leeds City, which had been dissolved by the Football League for financial irregularities.

The club has played its home matches at Elland Road since its founding, a stadium with a capacity of 37,645, currently being expanded to around 53,000.
Great Managers
Don Revie transformed an average club into a giant of English football between 1961 and 1974, winning two league titles (1968-69, 1973-74), an FA Cup, a League Cup and two Inter-Cities Fairs Cups. Howard Wilkinson added a third league title in 1991-92, the last of the pre-Premier League era. After a severe financial crisis in the mid-2000s, Daniel Farke brought the club back to the Premier League, confirming his reputation as a promotion specialist.
