History of NEOM SC
Founding and Early Years
The club was established in 1965 in Tabuk Province as Al-Suqoor (The Falcons), before its ownership was transferred in 2023 to the giant NEOM project as part of Saudi Arabia's club-privatization program.
Club Evolution
Renamed NEOM Sports Club on 24 December 2023 with a new white-and-blue identity, the club earned back-to-back promotions, winning the second division in 2023-24 and the first division in 2024-25, to reach the Saudi top flight for the first time in its history in 2025-26.
Great Managers
Given the project's youth, NEOM SC does not yet have a standout historic manager; Frenchman Christophe Galtier, who arrived in July 2025, guided the club to survival in its first top-flight season.
Iconic Players
The club signed several well-known names from European football for its very first top-flight season, including Alexandre Lacazette, who scored the club's first-ever league win, Saïd Benrahma, and Polish goalkeeper Marcin Bułka.
Major Achievements
NEOM SC won the third-division title in 2021-22 (as Al-Suqoor), then the second- and first-division titles in 2023-24 and 2024-25, with no major trophy yet at top-flight level.
The Club Today
Coached by Christophe Galtier and chaired by Meshari Al-Motairi, NEOM SC finished 8th in their maiden 2025-26 top-flight season, a solid result backed by the NEOM project's investment.
