History of Inter Miami
Founding and Early Years
Inter Miami CF was approved by MLS on 29 January 2018 and joined the league in 2020. The club was born from David Beckham exercising a franchise option clause negotiated in his 2007 contract with the LA Galaxy.
Club Evolution
Nicknamed "The Herons," the club wear pink, white, black, and blue; their crest depicts two great white herons forming the letter "M," with an eclipse referencing the number 7 worn by Beckham. Inter Miami moved in 2026 into their permanent home, Nu Stadium, at Miami Freedom Park.
